The Post Is Prologue: Knicks @ Grizzlies

New York Knicks (22-42)
Memphis Grizzlies (34-31)
FedEx Forum, Memphis, TN
8:00 PM

Whenever the Knicks take the floor at the FedEx Forum, I immediately think of Cast Away since Tom Hank's character Chuck Noland worked for Fed Ex and hailed from Memphis.

"So, let me get one thing straight here... We have a pro football team now, but they're in Nashville?"

Last season, the Griz entered their 66th game of the campaign with a 17-49 record. They had lost 12 of their last 14 games and were headed for the No. 2 pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. They subsequently squandered that pick (or at least so say the early returns) by selecting a player that's since been demoted to the D-League. Yet, they are playing better than they have in years. They are four games out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference and not likely to make up the ground, but their season is still one of the better stories in the Association this year.

"So, let me get one thing straight here... We have a pro basketball team now, and they're good because of Zach Randolph?"
