Conseco has been a joke all year, and Indiana has been hit by a lot of economic hardship(s). It seems that Pacer games would be the first to go for a lot of fans/families (though they'll still spend money they don't have on Colts stuff and pay high credit card bills...but I digress)

While I don't want to be nostalgic, but you're right about the Knicks/Bulls/Pacers/Miami being bad. These teams carried the Eastern Conference throughout the 90s, and a lot of the "power shift" can be attributed to these teams going in the tank. I think we've all rehashed this enough.

If you get a chance, read the IndyStar article on Bird being done. While he's Larry Legend for what he did to for French Lick, ISU, and the Celtics, he's not in good favor with true Pacer fans who follow the day to day operations.

My prediction is that either Bird or Walsh is gone by the end of this year (most likely both)

Wow, a Pacers fan reading a Knicks blog! Well, I'm happy to have you here. And, glad to see you're a big Mark Jackson fan. I really think that I would have seen a title at some point in the 1990s if Jackson hadn't been traded to LA....

I was shocked by how empty Canseco was last night and apparently is all the time (lowest attendance in the NBA). And, almost surprised how worse for wear Larry Bird looked sitting courtside. His jowls seem to be drooping as low as concession sales must be.

It is sad to think that the Knicks/Pacers/Heat/Bulls are all so bad right now. There was over a decade when some combination of those four provided the best matchups in the game.

As a lifelong pacer fan, I cannot begin to describe the awful feeling I got watching that game last night. While they never won any championships, the Pacers and the Knicks were the of the best Eastern Conference franchises throughout the 90s.

I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir, but how depressing it that we've fallen this far? Obviously, I'd much rather be the Pacers than the Knicks, but that could change any day with these two teams.

I love your work, and let's keep hoping the Pacers and Knicks restore what was once a great rivalry (you know, where the outcome of the game meant something to the people involved).
